Mccoy Jumps On Red Bull

Camden rider Garry McCoy has secured his immediate racing future by signing with the Red Bull Yamaha team for next year's 500cc motorcycle world championship.

McCoy and team-mate Regis Laconi of France both announced yesterday they had agreed on terms for next year.

The 29-year-old has impressed the factory team after being taken on mid-season when New Zealander Simon Crafar departed. He scored his first podium position in Spain, finishing third.
